Mysfika at Grassagården

I'm spinning on good ways to deal with the autumn rush. When the eldest daughter came home after school, we spontaneously went to the Grassagården café. And it was so cozy and the coffee tasted great! We chatted about the week that had been and just enjoyed ourselves for a while.

Sometimes it doesn't take more than a mere 45 minutes to recharge your batteries. It's always been important to me to give my children alone time with their mother. It doesn't have to be complicated, sometimes it's a coffee, other times a walk or a game or craft session. The goal is for me to be able to check in and make sure everything is okay with them, while giving the child the opportunity to be with me without being interrupted by someone else or something else. The focus is just on the child at that moment. I think that's super important and of course it's very much appreciated!

We also try to do this every night when it's bedtime. If both my husband and I are home, we usually take a child each, and read and sing to them in different rooms. And then the biggest daughter gets to hang out with us for a while after the little ones go to sleep. Also very much appreciated by both children and us adults!

Thought of the day:

For those who have more than one child, do you also think it's important to spend time with one child at a time occasionally?
