▼Get Moving: Unlock Your Body's Potential!
Life is all about movement, and our bodies are designed to thrive when we're active. This article explores the importance of movement for our overall well-being, discussing how physical activity helps transport vital substances like oxygen and blood throughout our bodies, and how it aids in removing waste products. By understanding the different types of exercise, such as energy-consuming activities like sports and gym work, and energy-adding practices like yoga, tai chi, and stretching, we can find a balance that nourishes both body and mind.

Life is movement. Your body is made for movement. When you move, your muscles work, moving water, blood and oxygen around your body. If you don't move, these vital substances can't be transported around your body and waste products can't be effectively removed from your body. Your breathing technique also affects how your body works. After all, it is through breathing that we bring new oxygen into the body.
When most of us think of movement, we think of physical exercise. Physical exercise such as tennis, football and gym work is energy consuming (working out) and should be combined with exercise that adds energy (working in). Examples of energy-adding exercise are slow walks, yoga, tai chi, qigong and stretching. Yoga has helped me immensely and has therefore become a separate category here on the website.
