Now I've been out and about at two different events and picked up a lot of inspiration! However, I find it incredibly interesting that they choose to have such a clear division of content at HarmoniExpo and All for Health (Allt för Hälsan in Swedish). HarmoniExpo was held in Solnahallen at the end of October, while All for Health was run together with Sthlm Food.
Both HarmoniExpo and All for Health offered really good lectures and many interesting exhibitors. HarmoniExpo promotes itself as an alternative convention for Body and Soul, while All for Health claims to be the leading lifestyle convention in health. This is where I get a bit confused! They have somehow disconnected the soul, the spiritual, from All for Health. Or have they? What is the difference between Body and Soul and Lifestyle in the trade show world?
In practice, there turned out to be quite a difference between the conventions, but also some similarities. I thought I would give a few examples from what was offered in the form of lectures:
HarmoniExpo: First Aid for Highly Sensitive People, The Magic Power of Herbs, Guided Healing Meditation, Find the Way to Love! - Behavioral Science, Break negative patterns - live a freer life, Soul journeys and higher states of consciousness and Reconnective healing - Feel good for body and soul.
All for Health: with the senses in the Health Garden, Healthy Superstart, Hold Qi Up - an introduction, Smarter choices for your lifestyle. Simple tools for empowered health, Exercise for life, Secrets of body language and De-stress with yinyoga.
HarmoniExpo had a big focus on healing, while All for Health's focus was on diet and exercise. HarmoniExpo offered Sweden's elite in spiritual guidance, where the curious could for example ask what the future looks like, while All for Health offered the latest trends in nutrition, supplements and training.
Common themes included mindfulness, meditation, stress management, relaxation and massage. A clear common thread! Somewhere between body and soul, the content of the two conventions met. Trying to find a lifestyle that works in today's society, focusing on the fact that the individual has to find a sustainable way to take care of themselves.
I personally think that HarmoniExpo fits better with All for Health than Sthlm Food does.
Thought of the day:
Where do body and soul meet?
